ALL MOUNTAIN & ENDURO
The Reynolds BLACK LABEL 27.5 AM wheels are engineered for the highest performance in Enduro and All Mountain riding. Built with our 31mm wide MR5 carbon rim, they have a 23mm tubeless-ready rim channel for optimal tire engagement, and they tackle technical terrain and rowdy riding with ease while still delivering the flickable feel of a featherweight wheel.
All BLACKLABEL mountain bike wheels are built on, what are arguably, the best carbon mountain bike rims on the market. The rims are then laced to a DT Swiss 240 centerlock hubset with 15mm and 142/12 axle compatibility via DT Swiss Aerolight spokes.

Each batch is certified according to Reynolds’ specifications.
Customers who purchase a Reynolds AM 27.5 mountain bike wheelset from an authorized dealer can purchase a two-year damage protection plan for any wheelset being used in its intended fashion. “But if you have deep pockets and want to make the most of your high-end bike,
I cannot think of any other product that offer such a improvement in feel,
giving you bike a new zest for speed, and the Reynolds 27.5AM Carbon Wheelset
has certainly impressed us!”
Under high acceleration from a slow speed to a high speed the 27.5AM’s spin up to speed rapidly and have a distinctly sprightly feeling, they want to skip and dance down the trail.
In fact, I cannot think of a bigger off-the-shelf performance improvement than these super light wheels, coming out of corners the bike snaps back up to speed with eagerness and urgency!
Acceleration is instant and it feels like the power is spinning straight from the crank into the ground, it is hard for your legs to keep up!
With a 31mm rim width they look substantial and confidence inspiring, holding a wide tyre well and giving a massive contact patch.
Beading tubeless tyres is very easy,
This massive strength really comes through on the trail, the wheels are sensitive and accurate, you find they instantly snap onto a new line and hold it tenaciously!
Even when all is getting rowdy and out of control, the wheels track on regardless, sticking to the line that you want them too.
Reliability wise they cannot be faulted, after a winter of abuse they are running true, not just true, if you pop them on a wheel-jig they spin without the slightest hint of a wobble,
and I have not touched the spokes since they came out of the box!

WHAT MOUNTAIN BIKE
Reynold’s top carbon fibre rimmed wheelset uses pretty much the best of everything they could lay their hands on.
The MR5 carbon rim.. works well..for tyres around 2.3-2.5in width.
The DT Swiss 240 hubs have Centrelock rotor mounts and your pick of XD or standard driver body at the rear.
They use 28 spokes in a three-cross pattern…wheelset tips the scales at a very respectable 1,525g.
The feel is spot on too. They’re accurate without being harsh and they make your bike feel very lively, like it’s drunk a pint or two of very expensive coffee.
After a solid season of hammering them they’re still dead true and rolling smooth, while once fitted with the supplied tubeless tape and valves they’ve held air perfectly.
Unlike their slightly heavier and even spendier rivals, the ENVE M60s, the graphics are decidedly low-key too.
That might be a minus point for the more ostentatious, but when it comes to ride feel, weight and durability, these are probably the best high-end carbon wheels out there.
